Recipe 8: Piña Asada

Rezept 8: Piña Asada - Asamodo

Pi ña Asada means grilled pineapple in Spanish and is also the basis of our recipe. Added to that is the sweet and chilly flavor from the melted chocolate and the Rock'n'Rubs spice. So try this fruity asado summer fondue :

Ingredients:

  • 1-2 Pineapples
  • Chocolate (white, milk, or dark) (depending on preference)
  • Rum
  • Water

Accesories:

  • Metzgergarn
  • Wok-Pfanne
  • Skewer set

Time required:

1.5 to 2 hours

Preparation:

  1. Wrap the pineapple with butcher's twine and hang it over the embers for 1.5 to 2 hours.
  2. Then hang the pineapple and cut off the top.
  3. Skewer the pineapple and hang it over the embers again so that it can really cook through on all sides and develop roasted aromas on the fruit flesh.
  4. Finally, remove the pineapple from the skewers and cut it up.
  5. Place the wok pan over the fire and first add water (or rum) so that the chocolate does not burn directly, and also remains liquid after cooling down a bit.
  6. Add chocolate to the wok pan and stir constantly.
  7. Add rum.
  8. Refine with the spice from RocknRobs (optional) and add a little more chili.
  9. As soon as the chocolate is creamy, you can add the pineapple.

Our summer chocolate fondue is so quick and easy!

If you want the pineapple to cook even faster, you can also prepare it in Caveman-Style. For this, you don't hang the pineapple up, but place it directly into the coals. This way, it gets more heat faster and is also done quicker.
